Eden Hazard has just named the best player in the Premier League, he’ convinced nobody’s better than him
Only a few players are better than Eden Hazard in the Premier League, fair to say.
The Belgian winger has had an immediate impact since completing his move to the west London club from Lille, winning two Premier League titles.
He was even named the Premier League PFA Player of the Year in 2014/15.
Last season, Antonio Conte’s side won the Premier League, with N’Golo Kante winning the alocade of the best player.
However, Hazard clearly thinks there’s one player in the league right now who’s better than him by far.
No, it’s not Kante or one of his Chelsea teammates. Hazard has chosen his international teammate Kevin De Bruyne, who’s been outstanding so far.
“Kevin is definitely the best player in the Premier League at the moment,” Hazard said, ahead of Belgium’s meeting with Mexico on Friday.
“City are the best Premier League team and Kevin is an important player in Guardiola’s system. It’s easy to play with Kevin because we’re good players.”
Hazard and De Bruyne are both expected to feature in Belgium’s friendlies over the break.
“Will I play both games? It would be silly to play 90 minutes twice but I still want to play,” he said. “Personally I feel good. There is no apprehension related to my return from injury.
“I am already at top [shape] but I still hope to improve.”
