The University Senate at its 326^th meeting held on Wednesday, 4^th March, 2015 has approved the adjustment of the coming 2014/2015 academic session calendar.

The adjustment according to a statement signed by the Director, Examinations, Admissions and Records (DEAR), Fatima Binta Mohammed was due to the postponement of 2015 general elections, the need to streamline Undergraduate and Postgraduate time-tables, as well as give rest to some staff members who worked all year round.

The new approved calendar of academic activities is as follows:

2	4th _ 10th May, 2015	Late registration for Undergraduates (with Surcharge)
3	20th April, – 10th May, 2015	Normal registration for Postgraduates Students
4	12th – 17th May, 2015	Late registration for Postgraduates (with Surcharge)
5	April 27th – July 31st, 2015	1st Semester Lectures (14 weeks, including Mid­semester Break week).
6	15th – 21st June, 2015	Mid-Semester Break (1 Week)
7	3rd – 15th August, 2015	1st Semester Examinations (2 Weeks)
8	16th – 30th August, 2015	End-of-Semester
9	31st August – 5th December, 2015	2nd Semester Lectures (14 Weeks, including Mid­Semester Break week)
10	18th – 25th October, 2015	Mid-Semester Break (1 Week)
11	7th _ 19th December, 2015	2nd Semester Examinations (2 Weeks)
12	20th December, 2015 – 7th February, 2016	Between Sessions Break (7 Weeks)
13	8th February, 2016	Commencement of 2015/2016 session
