On the first webisode of Break Digit Show in 2015, Roberta brings a throwback to some amazing moments on the show with Nigerian Startup Founders. In one of the #throwback clips: Gbolahan Fagbure (former Director of Operations, Jumia) now Co-founder of SupermartNG, explained how he came in contact with Rocket Internet and his Co-founder Raphael Afaedor. Hear him:
“I used to run a monthly speaker series. Raphael came to the show in one of the series when I was not in town. Later, a mutual friend invited us to speak at a conference. When I got there, I saw Raphael and I said, It seems I know this guy. After the conference, I did not get in contact with him again until when Rocket Internet came to Nigeria. They first of all got in contact with Raphael and I was the second person they contacted. When I got there, I saw Raphael and I was like, I know this guy. From there, we carried on and today, we have built a partnership made in Heaven”.
