I finally got my hands on the
latest Infinix Hot Note X551. It looks, feels and performs like the top
smartphones available today.
Infinix Hot Note X551 is currently the thinnest and lightest 5.5” smartphone on the market and a bigger version of Infinix Hot.
I got to say, I love the packaging of the box. It’s compact, small and sturdy.
Lifting up the top cover reveals just the phone. The phone usually comes in Anthracite Grey, Copper Brown, Champagne Gold, and Mint Green.
Underneath the smartphone are the manual, pretty good in-ear headphone, standard USB cable and a 5V wall charger
GPU: Mali 450
MEMORY: 1GB
STORAGE: 16GB (Expandable up to 32 GB Using the microSD Card)
CAMERA: 8MP main camera; 2MP front facing camera
DISPLAY: 5-inch Full HD IPS display
BATTERY: 4000mAh (with Super-Fast Charging feature)
CONNECTIVITY: WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0
Design-wise, Infinix Hot Note X551 is more ergonomic and comfortable on the hand. The phone weighs 172g, 8.9mm thin, and made of metallic texture. On the side of the phone lies the power and volume buttons. The charging slot is on the lower bar while the headphones hole is at the top bar.
The Infinix Hot Note comes with a 5.5″ HD 720p display, which basically means you get to watch videos in high definition with clear, crisp colours.
Infinix Hot Note is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB RAM and fairly large 16GB storage (However, should you require more, you can always expand the storage with a microSD card), the smartphone supports Dual SIM slots, 3G and has a 4000mAh battery to keep everything going.
On the battery side, the phone lasts for 2 days of extreme usage, which is excellent for today’s standards. Though, there is no way to remove the phone’s 4000mAh battery. 3 X faster charging which means that even when you only have a few minutes to spare you can still get a decent amount of juice in whatever time you have with utmost convenience and compatibility – just 50 minutes will get you 36 hours of usage.
The Infinix Hot Note camera is a fantastic piece of kit, in ways you won’t believe until you see them. The images shown by Infinix at Unpacked, demonstrating the unbelievable low-light performance of the Hot Note is almost too good to believe.
There’s a 8 MP main camera with OV8865 image sensor and a wide-angle 2 MP front-facing camera for easy Selfies with a friend.
Infinix Hot Note is a big phone that won’t dent your wallet despite all the goodness packed in it.
Just in case you want the Infinix Hot Note, Jumia, Infinix and MTN (JIM) are allying forces together to bring it to Nigeria soon. So do look out for it!
